John was the only child born to parents John Sr. and Ruth(Bracey) Allen. John served in the U.S. Navy. He is an alumnus of Pepperdine University and also served for over 20 years of active duty in the US Marine Corps. He was a member of the Elks as well as the Masons. John leaves behind his children; sons Gary, Michael and John T. III, and daughters Laurie (Paul) and Terry Lou, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his wife Patricia.
