She was the daughter of the late Hazel W. (Thompson) Batchelder. She was a graduate of Lynn High School and Waltham School of Nursing. During her professional nursing career she was employed at Melrose Wakefield Hospital and for many years at Waltham Hospital from which she retired. In addition, she worked as a clerk at Porter Hospital.

During World War II she served in the United States Navy Nurse Corps and was a member of the Middlebury American Legion where previously she had served in the color guard. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

She was an amazing woman. She touched many lives with her loving and caring personality. She will be missed by all.

Family members include four daughters, Donna M. Milley, Beverley R. Grant and her husband Chuck, Bonnie J. Bronson and her husband Jack, and Jenny Zack and her husband Bill; one sister, Leilah Frances Tuttle; seven grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert H. Milley, on August 8, 1972, and by a sister, Charlotte Ridley, and a brother, Walter Batchelder.
