"Philip Zeigler, Sr., came from Wurtemberg, Germany, in the year 1753, and located in Upper Salford township, Philadelphia (now Montgomery) county, where on Sept. 24, 1763, he was naturalized. He was a land owner and a fermer and a warm friend of the Continental cause in the Revolutionary War."

His last will and testament was probated in Montgomery county in 1801 and signed by his son Philip Jr. before he and his family went west to Cumberland County. Another Daughter listed in his Will was Catharine Elizabeth Zeigler 1756-1836 who married Philip Fischer 1753-1806 on 14 Apr 1772 in Old Goshenhoppen Luth Ch, U Salford Tp, Montgomery Co PA. They had a daughter Magdalena Fisher 1776-1850 (25655568) who married Christopher Au 1777-1855 (25655512) who allegedly had the largest distillery in PA from which developed a large utilitarian pottery business.
