Son of Onezeime Herpin and Pelagie Meaux.
Husband of Aurelia Abshire whom he married 18 JAN 1867.
Served in Civil War and was wounded while in service and he later died in 1927 with the bullet still in his left shoulder.
Father of 4 sons-Felix,Numa,Joseph and Edmar Herpn.
3 daughters-Mrs Alcide Meaux,Mrs Elaxander Hebert and Ms Elazie Trahan.
36 grandchildren-43 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren
4 sisters and 1 brother.
Was a man of considerable property and had many friends. He was regarded as one of the most esteemed and respected pioneer of Vermilion Parish,La.
