Herman was born in Sebewaing, Michigan on June 20, 1900, and was the son of Henry and Louise (Goebel) Bauer. A long time resident of Michigan and he was a resident of Florida for 20 years.
He was united in marriage to Clara Zehnder who died in 1965 and was then married to Edna (Tharret) Becht in 1966 until her death in 1985. He had been employed for many years until his retiremet in 1965 with the General Motors Coporation, Cadillac Division where he worked as a test driver. Herman was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed by all he touched.
Herman is survived by his loving daughters: Mrs. Richard (Donna) Wickenhiser, Mrs. Martin (Lola) Benning, loving step children; Carol Pelto, Mary Hotvedt, Mildred Lindeman, Linda Mead, Karen Estland and Jim Becht, many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceasedd by two brothers Otto and Edward.
