Rose Isabelle Holtmann
Rose Isabelle Holtmann, 80, of New Baden, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Aviston Countryside Manor in Aviston. She was born February 2, 1932 in Aviston, daughter of George and Rose (Rakers) Lampe. She married Clarence C. Holtmann on September 20, 1955 in Aviston and he survives in New Baden.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jo Ann (Ed) Netemeyer, Daniel (Chris) Holtmann, Dennis (Cindy) Holtmann and Dale (Kim) Holtmann all of Albers;12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Ralph (Florence) Lampe of Aviston; a sister, Marie Litteken of Charleston; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Spaeth of Trenton, Adeline Holtmann of Germantown, Dolores Poettker of Breese, Greg and Dot Holtmann of New Baden, Ruth Huegen of Trenton, Adrian and Trudy Toennies of Trenton, Dolores Lampe of Aviston and Dolly Lampe of Breese.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony Lampe and Benedict Lampe; two sisters, Bernice Von Hatten and Pauline Wolters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Wolters, Laverne Litteken, Eugene Von Hatten, Alice Toennies, Bill Spaeth, and Loretta and Cal Schwend, Raymond Holtmann, Cyril Poettker, and Ron Huegen.

Mrs. Holtmann was a homemaker, a former cook for St. Bernard School in Albers and dietary tech at Aviston Countryside Manor. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Ladies Sodality and the American Legion Post 1026 Auxiliary in Albers.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Rev. Jack Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Bernard Parish and will be received at the funeral home.
