STANLEY E HORNING
Stanley E Horning, 63, died early this morning in his home near Knauers, Mohnton R D 2.
Born in Brecknock Township, he was a son of John B Horning and the late Lillie (Kachel) Horning. A member of the Brecknock Fire Co. and its relief association, he was preceded by his wife Rosie M. (Griffith), on July 19, 1949.
Surviving in addition to his father, of Elizabethtown, are four daughters: Lilly A., at home; Mary E, wife of John Musser, Bowmansville; Sarah Jane, wife of Norman Ebersole, and Catherine, wife of Samuel Schlouch, both of Mohnton, R D 2; and two sons, Alton E., of East Earl, R D 1; and John H, of Mohnton, R D 2.
Eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, three brothers: J Melvin, Rheems, Lancaster County; Robert, Elizabethtown, and Harry, Fresno Calif.; and five sisters: Grace Lambert, Elsie Horning and Katie, wife of Robert Rice, all of Elizabethtown; Esther, wife of Charles Sweigart, Elizabethtown RD., and Inza, wife of Ed Firestone, Grantville.
The Rev. W Ronald Yocom will officiate at services on Monday at 2 pm., in the Gosnell Funeral Home, Shillington. Burial will be made in the Allegheny Union Church Cemetery, Alleghenyville.
