Steven Dale Walker, 63, of Columbia passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Faith Baptist Church in Columbia. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the church. Arrangements are by Nilson Funeral Home.
Steve was born on April 21, 1949, in Callaway County, the son of Edd and Hazel Ellen Smith Walker.
Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing and showing his restored 1966 GTO.
Steve loved his family and looked forward to family gatherings and also enjoyed spending time with his many friends.
Survivors include his loving companion, Dana Evans; one son, Roger Dale (wife Christy) Walker; and one daughter, Sharon (husband Richard Jr.) Smith. Also surviving are two brothers, Jim Walker and Dennis Walker; two sisters, Janice Mullins and Carol Hardy; and five stepchildren, Richard Evans, Robin Evans, Bobbie (husband Phillip) Cunningham, Gena (husband John) Wyatt and Rosetta Evans. There are 12 grandchildren, Ashlee, Lauren, Kristopher, Lindsey and Steven Walker, Corey and Dallas Perkins, Trevor and Megan Cunningham, David Northern, Tommie Burdick and Josh Evans. Four great-grandchildren also survive.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eddie Lee; two sisters, Sharon Sue Walker and Faye Shelnutt; two stepchildren, Mark and Tanya Evans; and one stepgranddaughter, Shana Evans.
