Charles C. "Chuck" Chandler, 41, Parsons, KS, died Sunday, January 16, 2000, at his home. He had been in ill health for several months. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Parsons, KS, with Father Michael Schemn officiating; with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Parsons High School Vikings Scholarship Fund in his mane. He was born December 19, 1958, in Parsons, KS, a son of William F. and Joann K. (Clifford) Chandler. He graduated from Parsons High School in 1977, and was employed as a trainman with the Union Pacific Railroad. He and Victoria Stamps were married June 6, 1992, at the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Parsons. Survivors include his wife, Victoria Chandler, of the home; two step sons, Jason Hammett, Pittsburg, KS, and Reece Hammett, of the home; his parents, Bill and Joann Chandler, of Parsons, KS; five brothers, Joe Chandler, of Colorado Springs, CO, John Chandler, of Bridgeton, MO, Tom Chandler, of Nixa, MO, Frank Chandler, of Parsons, KS, Donal Chandler, of Parsons, KS; three sisters, Marie Vickery, of Wichita, KS, Rosemary Duling, of Wichita, Rita Dunn, of Muskogee, OK.
