SWEETLAND -- Lowell L. "Stub" Woodrum, 76, of Sweetland, Lincoln County, died Monday, May 11, 1998, at home after a short illness.

He was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMW and VFW Post 6942, Griffithsville, and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving: daughters, Anita Templeton, Wanda Woodrum and Vannessa Spence of Sweetland, Loreeta Gail Bowman of Buckhannon; sons, Larry Caudill of Uneeda, Lowell Woodrum Jr of Brooks, Ky., Eddie Vannater of Louisville, Ky.; sister, Lois Meadows of Bald Knob; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside service will be in Woodland Cemetery, Sweetland, with David Templeton officiating. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
