Virgie Eunice Harden, 86, Route 1, Greensburg, died Monday, March 2, 1987, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg after an extended illness. She was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Arch Harden, in 1975. They were united in marriage July 9, 1924. Mrs. Harden was the daughter of the late Marcus and Addie Antle Pike and a native of Taylor County. Mrs. Harden is survived by one brother and four sisters, Coy Pike, Alva Richardson, Vera Long and Pauline Netherland, all of Campbellsville, and Lola Clark, Columbia; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Don Gowin and H. E. Coker officiated. Pallbearers were Charles Clark, Ray Netherland, Harry Newcomb, James Allen Clark, Fern Settle, Doug White and Paul Gaines.
