Chester L. Hale, 67, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, in a local hospital. Mr. Hale was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Virginia. He was retired from the Army and a member of Pine Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Hale of Texarkana; two sons, Bob Baker of Alamogordo, N.M., and Scott Hale of Oregon; four daughters, Bobbye Sellers and Michelle McBride of Texarkana, Patricia Hale of Tennessee and Cheryl Hale of El Paso, Texas; two brothers, Curtis Hale of Bristol, Va., and Needham Hale of Oakwood, Va.; one sister, Geraldine Babcock of Catlett, Va.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with John Hall officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Chapelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
