Born May 27, 1926 in Marquand, Missouri, the son of the late Nancy Pairlee (nee Farmer) and Brother Jesse Azariah Yount.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Corrie F. "Nell" (nee Howell) Yount, brothers Dale and wife Mildred Yount, Emmett and wife Wilma Yount, Joe and wife Doris Yount and Don Yount and sisters Bessie and husband Charlie Miinch, Mellie Weston and Ora Lee Slover, brother-in-laws Denzel Fadler and C.L. White, Jr.

He is survived by daughters Kathryn Gritts and husband Galen of Sunset Hills, Missouri, Linda Reid and husband Michael of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Connie Adams of Woodson Terrace, Missouri, Cheryl Pecka and husband Douglas of Washington, Missouri and Nancy Parks and husband Brian of Mayfield, Kentucky, a sister Dolly Fadler of Farmington, Missouri, sister-in-laws Betty Yount and Annie Ruth Howell White and a brother-in-law Milford Slover, grandchildren Jonathon (Julie) Stotler, Bryanne (Jordan) Jagust, Remington Gritts, Shannon (Aaron) George, Dennis (Shawna) Cage, John (Amy) Hasler, Caitlin (Cameron) Hine, Justin Boston, Jessica Boston, Blake Allen, Deidra Adams, Matthew Pecka, Rachel Pecka, Hayley Pecka, and Carter Parks and 9 great-grandchildren along with many cousins and friends.

Mr. Yount was employed at National Lead Company until its closure, then returned to the trucking industry. He was a Deacon and member of Fairview Christian Church of Festus, Festus/Crystal City Conservation Club, American Legion post #253 and the Herculaneum AMVETS.
