Bjornstad, Morris MADISON - Morris E.
Bjornstad, age 92, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at the Badger Prairie Health Care Center in Verona. He was born on May 7, 1912, the son of Olaf and Amanda Bjornstad, and was a lifelong resident of the Madison area. At the time of his retirement in 1980, he was vice-president and sales manager for Advance Concrete Forms of Madison. Morris was especially proud of his family and his Norwegian heritage. He loved camping, traveling, hunting, cars, story-telling and singing. He had a passion for reading and acquiring knowledge. Morris is survived by his wife, Bernita; a son, Eugene (Louise) Bjornstad of Girwood, Alaska; two daughters, Lois (James) Voss of Middleton, and Linda (Fred) Bradley of Madison; five grandsons, Peter Bjornstad, Neil (Colleen) Bjornstad, Erik (Amy) Voss, Bill Voss and Andrew (Missie) Bradley; two granddaughters, Lisa (Mark) Voss-Seiler and Amy (Ryan) Streblow; 10 great-grandchildren, Heidi, Hannah, Brittany, Jessica, Alec, Syndney, Miya, Anika, Cooper and Bjorn; a step-daughter, Patricia (Edward) Gerbitz of Stevens Point; a step-son, Douglas (Patricia) Goth of Miami, Fla.; a brother, Wilford (Nina); a sister, Adeline Campbell; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bjornstad and Otella Cook; and many nieces and nephews. Morris was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice Neesvig; two brothers, Olin and George; a baby sister, Myrtle; and his grandson, Eric Bjornstad. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona.
