J.A. Buchanan, a former resident of Minneapolis, is dead at Los Angeles after a long illness. He came to Minneapolis as a boy in 1865 and lived here up to about eight years ago, when he removed to California on account of his health. While in Minneapolis he was engaged in the lumber business. Mr. Buchanan is survived by his wife and three children, who live in California. One of his brothers is W.C. Buchanan of Minneapolis. The remains will be interred at Los Angeles.
