George M. ALTMAN, 67, Rt. 2, Peru, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 1993, at his home. He was born in Miami County on Jan. 9, 1926 to Omar and Mary FRIEDERSDORF ALTMAN.

He married Esther EASTERDAY, who survives. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Logansport VFW Post 3790 and American Legion Post 60 of Loansport. He was a retired electrician and had worked as a lineman for many years with Logansport utilities.

Surviving with his wife are his mother, Mary ALTMAN; four daughters, Mary DENNIS, Peru, Cathy MIDDLESWORTH, Swayzee, Ellen Marie ALTMAN and Margie Ruth ALTMAN, both of Cadillac, Mich.; two step-daughters, Marilyn WHITE, Indianapolis, Roseanna KELLEY, Kokomo; a son, Meredith ALTMAN, Peru; two step-sons, Robert BRIGGS, Shelby, N.C., James BRIGGS, Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and eleven stepgrandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru with the Rev. Irvin BEHM officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
