Mary Lois Jimerson was born 18 Nov 1928 at Henry Co TN near the town of Puryear. Although she lived for over forty years in Oak Grove, Jackson, MO, she died in Independence, Jackson, Missouri. She was the 2nd daughter and the 4th child of Anna Ruhama Overcast and John Parvin Jimerson. Mary Lois was named after both of her grand mothers. Parvin's mother was Mary Alexander Jimerson and Hama's mother was Louisa Conlatha "Lois C" Arnn Overcast. Hama's greatgreat grand mother was a Cherokee, Laoise "Lacy" Martin Lankford.

After WWII Mary Lois married a childhood friend Joseph Adams, whose mother was also from the Puryear area of Tennessee. Joseph and Mary Lois had four daughters and one son(all living in 2014)and many grandchildren. She was a stay at home Mom after her marriage to Joseph and remained so until Joseph's death from an auto collision in May 1977. She worked at various jobs throughout the years including the billing department of the catalog section of Montgomery Wards and various other jobs as saleswoman and/or cashier. It was from working many years as a cashier that she developed advanced Dupuytren's contractures (of her hands) which precipitated her retiring at age 62. Mary Lois was well known for her beautiful singing voice which she often shared at the Oak Grove RLDS church. Her DNA is Halogroup K. She descends from Revolutionary Patriots through her mother and her dad. She was my Aunt and best friend. For further information see my addition with an Iris.
