Laurence F. ''Larry'' Kehoe Sr., 71, died Wednesday at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford after a short illness.
He was born in East Boston, a son of William S. and Eleanor Murphy Kehoe and attended Boston schools. He attended Northeast Airlines School for two years and was trained as an aviation mechanic.
Mr. Kehoe served in the army during World War II and with the Navy Reserves for several years.
He moved to Maine in 1972.
On Feb. 22, 1975, he married Marie Raymond in Old Town.
He was employed as an aviation mechanic for Northeast Airlines and Delta Airlines for 30 years.
Mr. Kehoe was a member of St. Martha's Church, the American Legion, the Lions Club in Kennebunk and the Seashore Trolley Museum, Kennebunkport.
He enjoyed antique trucks and aircrafts.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years of Kennebunkport; two sons, Laurence F. Jr. of Brunswick, Ga., David M. of Winthrop, Mass.; one daughter, JoEllen Vasquez of Revere, Mass.; one stepdaughter, Carol Clark of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one brother, Paul E. of Billerica, Mass.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Martha's Church, Kennebunk. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk.
