Elizabeth Ann Biars, 69 of 495 Stokes Drive, Hinton died Sunday December 23, 2012 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital in Hinton after a sudden illness.

Born December 9, 1943 at Gauley Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lorena Ward Sampson.

Ann was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hinton and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had lived most of her life in Summers County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Bubby" Biars. Also preceded by a daughter, Deonna Biars.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Biars of Hinton. Two daughter, Patricia Biars of Hinton and Milda Adkins of Beckley. One brother, Clarence "Buddy" Sampson of Beaver. Two sisters, Ruby Thompson and Mary Cox, both of Pipestem. Four grandchildren; Jessica Martin, Alex Gill, Britney Gill and Brian Gill. Two great grandchildren; Gabrielle and Danielle Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 27, 2012 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.

Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery on Powleys Creek. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
