Mary, daughter of Christian Kyhl and Minnie Marie (Jensen) Molgard was born in Leber, Washington. Lived all her life in Tacoma, Washington

She quit school to help raise her sisters and brother as her mother was an invalid before her death in 1910. Mary married Carl Carlson in May 3, 1915 and they had 2 daughters, Evelyn May March 28, 1917 and Lorraine Marian March 13, 1919.

After her divorce she worked in a laundry, also as a seamstress and started at Nalley's food processing on the assembly line in 1936 where she continued working until she was 65.

She made sure both of her girls had careers. Evelyn became a Registered Nurse and Lorraine a legal secretary.

In October 9, 1944 Mary married Lee Douge.

OBIT: 1/14/1968: Mrs. Leland (Mary) Douge, 71, of 4305 N. 13th St., died Friday in a local nursing home. She was born in Leber and have lived in Tacoma since 1906. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C. K. Molgard, a pioneer Tacoma family. Mrs. Douge attended Rogers Grade School. Survivors include her husband of Retsil; 2 dau Mrs. Evelyn Haakinson of Tacoma, & Mrs. Lorraine McHaney of Palos Verdes, CA; sister, Mrs. Harold (Carrie) McKee of High Point, NC; 3 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Services by Buckley-King Mortuary.
