Funeral services were held Saturday, June 24, 1995 at the North Manchester Old German Baptist Church for Anna Maude Fingerle, 97, a resident of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. Mrs. Fingerle died at the home Thursday, June 22, 1995. She was born Oct. 6, 1897 at Payne, Ohio to Abraham and Bertha (Stoffer) Miller. She married Daniel A. Fingerle May 30, 1917 at Flint, Michigan and he preceded her in death June 12, 1988. She resided in North Manchester area most of her life.
A member of the North Manchester Old German Baptist Church, she is survived by sons, Kenneth L. Fingerle, 808 N. Walnut, North Manchester; Robert H. Fingerle of 1601 Villa Court, N. Manchester; Chester A. Fingerle of 505 SR 13W, N. Manchester and Donald E. Fingerle of 221 W. Ramey St., Rossville, IN; three daughters, Mrs.Robert (Elsie) Geiser, 1704 Westchester Dr.; Mrs. Ralph (Pauline) Miller, 1100 W. Fourth, Lot 80; and Mrs. Dale (Doris) Kelsey of 1604 Frantz Dr., all three of N. Manchester; 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren. One son, one daughter, two brothers, five sisters and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
The Home Brethren officiated for the Saturday morning funeral and burial was in the Old German Baptist Cemetery of North Manchester.
Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Bender Chapel, was in charge of all arrangements.
