Born in Oneida on March 28, 1972, she was the daughter of Nelson and Irene Chafee Van Vorst Sr. A lifelong resident of the area, she attended Oneida schools. She married Ronald R. Campany on July 1, 1995 in Oneida.
Judy was employed by Die Molding Corporation. She was previously employed with Turning Stone Casino and Oneida Limited Silversmiths. Judy was of the Christian faith and an avid bingo player.
Surviving besides her husband, Ronald, are her parents, Nelson and Irene; two sons, Ronald R. Campany II and his fiancée Alyssa Muir of Oneida, and Joshua A. Campany of Oneida; one brother and sister-in-law, Nelson W. "Slim" and Rhonda Van Vorst of Fort Sill, Okla.; her grandchild, Kalie Jean "Doodlebug" Campany; her best friend, Rita Altman of North Carolina; god sister Holly Halpin of Oneida; and several cousins.
She was predeceased by a nephew, Nelson W. "Peanut" Van Vorst III.
Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Wednesday from Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, 260 Main St., Oneida. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 3-5 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Upstate Stroke Foundation, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, N.Y. 13210.
