Mrs. Hawkins was a native of Putnam County but had made her home in Milledgeville where she was a homemaker and member of Montpelier United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by parents James Pearman Simmons and Flossie Heath Simmons Hill, two brothers James Pearman Simmons, Jr., and Bobby S. Simmons.
Survivors include two sons Reese Watkins "Tripp" Bradford, III of Milledgeville and Robert Pearman Bradford of Blythe, a daughter Flo Lavender of Milledgeville, two sisters Frances Tennile of Putnam County and Jean Summerlin (William) of Milledgeville, 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
