She married Robert Lloyd Mitchell on November 14, 1953 in Ogden, Utah. They were later divorced. She married Francis Brown on March 2, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed away on June 20, 1990.
Laura was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She sold Avon for 15 plus years and retired from IRS after 25 years. Laura also worked for Laidlaw transportation.
Laura enjoyed her trips to Wendover. She liked to bowl, fish, hunt and go camping. She loved being in the outdoors. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she enjoyed not only decorating, but seeing the decorations. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Laura is survived by her children, Moana Hepner, Kirc (Sheri) Mitchell, and Trent (Teresa) Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Margo Mitchell all of Ogden; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, John, and grandson, Kameron.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
