Patricia Ann Amason, 78, of El Dorado, died on Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at her home.
Born on July 24, 1927, in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass., she was the daughter of George Henry James and Blanche Olive Littlef ield James.
She was a retired reg-Amason istered nurse and case worker for Medical Center of South Arkansas, served in the U.S. Navy as a Lt. JG RN Nursing Corp, and was a member of Marrable Hill Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Robert "Bob" James. Survivors include her husband, Alton Virgil Amason of El Dorado; two sons, Jesse "Mike" Amason of El Dorado and James Alton Amason of Lansing, Kan.; two daughters, Deborah Ann Hick of Little Rock and Susan Elaine Miller of Keithville, La.; three brothers, Albert David James of Long Meadow, Mass., William "Bill" Henry James of Beverly, Mass., and Francis "Fran" Arthur James of Drakes Island, Maine; grandchildren Annette Michelle Hammock of Broken Arrow, Okla., Charlie Michael Kelly of Monroe, La., Melissa Dawn Kelly of Little Rock, Sharon Lynn Amason of Lansing, Kan., Bonnie Lynn Manea of Blanchard, La., and Thomas Haston Miller and Jessica Elise Miller, both of Keithville; and three greatgrandchildren, Samantha Hammock, Aubrey Manea and James Hammock.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in Young's Chapel with the Rev. Sam Shepperson officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in El Dorado under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors in El Dorado.
