Services for Mrs. Martha Lou Childress, 73 of Wheeler, TX, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 17th, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Wheeler, TX with Pastor Erron Mercer, officiating. Burial will follow in Zybach Cemetery under the direction of Peppers Family Funeral Home of Wheeler, TX.
Martha was born November 14, 1939 in Wheeler, Texas to the late Glenn Markham and Vernabelle Holbrook. She married Gerald Lavoe "Bo" Childress February 14, 1960. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters, Glenis Wiebe and Judy Richardson
Mrs. Childress was a nurse for many years and enjoyed caring for others. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many. She is survived by two sons, Sam Childress of Wheeler, TX, Kelly Childress and wife Linda, of Pond Creek, OK; two daughters, Lynette Davis and husband Danny of Midwest City, OK, Misty Fields and husband Les of Poulsbo, WA
