SACO - James Danforth, 64, of 99 Ocean Park road, died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital, Portland. He was born in Biddeford, October 3, 1920, a son of Charles and Aldea Richard Danforth. He attended Biddeford schools. Danforth, an Army veteran of World War II, was employed at Saco Lowell Shops, Biddeford, and later, Maremont Corporation for 25 years. He was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church and a member of the Maine Trappers Association. Survivors are his wife, Juliette Cloutier Danforth of Saco; two sons, Stanley Danforth of Biddeford, and Kenneth Danforth of Saco; a brother, Richard Danforth of Biddeford; three sisters, Mrs. Conrad (Irene) Gosselin of Saco, Rose Danforth of Biddeford and Lillian Aliette of Methuen, Mass.; and nephews and nieces. A Massof Christian Burial will be said Friday at 10am in Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Biddeford. Calling hours at the Cote Funeral Home, Beach Street, are tonight, 7 to 9, and Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
