DAVENPORT - Funeral Service and Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret M. McGrath, a resident of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, where a prayer service will be offered at 6 p.m. Margaret died Sunday, July 17, 2005, at the Kahl Home for the Aged, Davenport. She was born February 5, 1916, in Pipestone, Minnesota, the daughter of George and Agnes (Erregde) Frahm. Margaret M. Frahm married Joseph B. McGrath, June 14, 1941, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death May 8, 1992. Margaret was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary, and Catholic Service Board. She truly loved her grandchildren, always spending as much time as possible with them. Memorials may be made to the Kahl Home. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Mark Shanks, Davenport; a son, Joseph M. McGrath, Davenport; grandchildren, Aaron and Landon Shanks, Victoria McGrath, Daniela Boerschlein, and Janet Dorn; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Natasha, and Dominic; sister-in-law, Margaret Pracht, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a brother-in-law, William Long, Bettendorf. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Thomas McGrath, in 1984.
