Megan Lynne Hensley Buchanan, 24, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010, in Muscle Shoals after an extended illness. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. tonight, Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Megan was born in Florence and attended Brooks Elementary and Muscle Shoals High School.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roy S. Hensley. Survivors are her husband, Robert Buchanan; father, Roy L. Hensley (Linda); children, Gregory Buchanan, Jacob Buchanan and Elisha Preston, all of Muscle Shoals; grandmother, Dean Hensley, Florence; brother, Craig Borden, Guntersville, Ala.; sisters, Michelle Hensley and Mary Hensley, of Tuscumbia; half sisters, Brandi Boyd and Jill Boyd, of Gadsden; stepbrothers, Jonathan Haynes and Anthony Haynes, of Tuscumbia, and Bobby Haynes, of Muscle Shoals; stepsister, Paulette Jordan, Tuscumbia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Carlin, Jason Olive, Josh Olive, Christopher Hensley, Alan Michael Hensley and Craig Borden. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Hensley and Scott Tubbs.
