Lydia Beers Churchill, after a long
illness and a brave and patient fight
against an insiduous, remorseless disease,
died at Morris, Sunday morning,
February 7,1915, aged sixty-three years.
The deceased was born in Morris, her
parents being George Beers and Azuba
Gifford Beers, and most of her life was
spent in that town. She married William
Churchill in 1868, and to them
were born two sons, Byron, now a
prominent optician residing in Oneida,
and George who died in 1883.
As reported on page 7 of "The Otsego Farmer,"
Cooperstown, NY on February 12, 1915.
Byron Churchill and wife of Oneida
have here in town for the past few days,
called here by the sickness and death of
his mother, Mrs. William Churchill.
Mr. Churchill's father will return with
him to Oneida to make his home there in
thfe future.
