Funeral services are planned for Thursday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. at Fairfax United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ian Conerly officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfax Cemetery.
Mrs. Berry is survived by two sons, Coleman Eugene (Ann) Berry of the Beulah community and Danny Roy (Joellen) Berry of Fairfax; grandchildren, Carly Berry of Dalton, Ga., and Kathryn (Clay) Garmon of Valley; a great-grandson, Wilson Clayton Garmon; and extended great-granddaughter, Kennedy Raine Stroud.
Born Aug. 5, 1927 in Milltown, Mrs. Berry was the daughter of the late Fannie McKee and Horace Leonard Burks. She graduated from Valley High School in 1946. Mrs. Berry worked for WestPoint Pepperell for 47 years at the Fairfax Finishing Department. She was an active member of Fairfax United Methodist Church, where she served on the worship committee, United Methodist Women, Love Circle, Joy Sunday School Class, as finance secretary and treasurer and sang in the choir. Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Berry, and her granddaughter, Ila Leigh Berry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Fairfax United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Fairfax United Methodist Church, 901 Boulevard in Fairfax.
