Betty Lou McDaniel Alexander, 83, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Betty was a fun-loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She spent many years helping others through her nursing experience. Betty loved the Lord and practiced what she preached. Betty was born July 15, 1929, in Ada, Okla., to Jewell and William McDaniel. She lived in Ada prior to moving to Grand Prairie, where she graduated from high school. Fort Worth was her home until moving to Arlington in 1957. Survivors: Husband of 63 years, Don R. Alexander; daughter, Patti Buck and husband, James, of Thornton, Colo.; son, Mark Alexander and wife, Debi, of Arlington; grandson, Ryan Alexander and wife, Lacy, of Arlington; granddaughter, Melanie Buck and husband, Chet, of Brighton, Colo.; granddaughter, Jennifer and Fernando Fuermann of Reunion, Colo.; and three great-grandchildren.
