Edward J. "EJ" Bartley, Jr., 39, of Sycamore Street, Bristol, husband of Kimberly (Schroll) Bartley, died Sunday, (July 29, 2001) at Bristol Hospital.
Born January 1, 1962 in Hartford, he was a son of Edward J. Sr. and Mary (Bourgeois) Bartley of East Hartford. Edward was employed as a machinist at Fansteel VR Wesson in Plantsville for 14 years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Southington.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edward J. Bartley III and Joshua W. Bartley; two daughters, Valerie E. Bartley and Alyssa M. Bartley, all of Bristol; two brothers, Donald and John Latimer of East Hartford; two sisters, Theresa Latimer and her husband, Corrado of East Hampton, and Jennifer Bartley of East Hartford; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, William E. and Sandra Schroll of Manchester, ("he was like a son to them"); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 10 a.m., at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville. Burial will follow in Silverlane Cemetery, East Hartford.
