ENID, Okla. — Glenn W. Agan, Arcadia, OK, passed away December 2, 2012, at the residence. He was born September 9, 1934, and adopted as an infant by Curtis and Lelah Agan of Clinton, OK. Glenn was raised in Custer County and attended Stafford, Clinton High School, graduating from Clinton High School.

He married Mary Anne Newman September 7, 1952, Clinton OK, and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. To this union, two girls were born: Sharilyn Ann and Shelia Renea Agan.

Glenn was employed by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation; city of Enid, as a construction inspector; and the city of Edmond, as chief engineering inspector. He retired from the city of Edmond in November 1996.

In 2001, after 66 years, he was reunited with his biological mother, Violet McArthur Potter of Bristow, OK. After their first meeting, Glenn went to Bristow every week to take her to lunch — they would gather up her sister, Ruth Kidd and her brother, Bill J. McArthur, and they would all go out to eat. He was so happy that he found her and the rest of his other family. Through this meeting, he learned that he was a distant cousin to General Douglas McArthur.

Glenn served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge.

He was predeceased by his biological mother, Violet McArthur Potter, Curtis Agan and Lelah Agan.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; daughters, Sharilyn Zabinsky and husband Joe of Littleton, CO, and Shelia Renea Malone and her husband Michael of Plano, TX; four grandchildren, Douglas Zabinsky, CO, Nicholas Creps and wife Sharon of Oklahoma City, Nolan Creps and wife Sarah of Oklahoma City, and Sean Malone of Plano, TX; great-grandchildren, Cassandra Malone, Huntsville, TX, Richard Lane, Madison Cheyeanne, and Scotty of Oklahoma City; a brother, Earl Agan of Clinton, OK; a sister-in-law, Vesta Albright, of Willow Creek Health Care in Guthrie, OK; brother-in-law, Donald C. Newman and wife Verda Mae of Bethany, OK; and uncle Bill J. McArthur of Willow Creek Health Care in Guthrie, OK; a great-aunt, Lula Wilderberg, of Escondido, CA; a niece, Debera Newman, of Bethany, OK; and several cousins.
