She was born April 4, 1919 in Magnolia, Arkansas to Dan and Pauline Couch Dennis, both preceded her in death.
Liz grew up in Magnolia where she finished high school and attended South Arkansas University. After finishing college, she went to Shreveport, Louisiana and went to work in sales and merchandising. While working in Shreveport, she met Troy Forbis. They married on January 12, 1952 in Shreveport and celebrated 51 wonderful years of marriage before Troy died in 2003.
In 1974, Troy was transferred to Longview, Texas. They had been in Longview for one month when they joined Summerfield United Methodist Church, which is still their home church. They always enjoyed going to American Legion and having much fun with their friends. Also, they always enjoyed their friends and extended family on Marguerite Dr. and all the fun they had together.

Liz had two brothers, Couch Dennis of Magnolia, AR and Gene Dennis of Shreveport and both preceded her in death.
