Mrs. Marjorie Quinn Anderson, 81, known fondly as "Margie Nell" to those closest to her, passed away peacefully October 18, 2012.
Born in Gorman, Texas, she married Robert "Bob" Franklin Anderson on September 4, 1951, and they moved to Aiken, SC in 1955 where they raised a family of three children. Mrs. Anderson had been an active member of First Baptist Church of Aiken since 1955 where she faithfully attended Sunday School and served as an Outreach Leader.
Known for her infectious laugh and vibrant smile, she spent her life entertaining, caring and loving her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was an avid Braves fan and loved cheering for the Clemson Tigers, especially during basketball season. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, love, and delicious food.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her faithful and devoted husband of 61 years; her children: John Franklin Anderson, Columbia. SC, Kandy Anderson (Alan) White, Edgefield, SC, and Gregg Quinn (Rose) Anderson, Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Amanda Anderson (Brian) Mellard, Julie Anderson (Jake) Honeycutt, Zachary Quinn Anderson, Skyler Joseph Anderson; great-grandchildren, Anna Carmen Mellard and Wilkerson Lee Mellard; a brother, Wayne (Betty) Quinn, Fort Worth, TX and several nieces and nephews. She was immensely loved and will be missed dearly by all who were fortunate and blessed enough to know her.
Interment will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery.
