Albert McKinney - Englewood man is 27th heat-related death of season
The death of a 64-year-old Englewood man on Tuesday was the 27th in Cook County this year attributable at least in part to the hot weather.
Albert McKinney of the 6300 block of South Racine was found XXXXXXXXXX at his home, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
An autopsy Wednesday found he died of diabetic ketoacidosis, with heat stress and heart disease as contributing factors, according to the medical examiner's office. The death was ruled an accident.
Autopsies also confirmed the following deaths as heat-related: (26 other names listed here)
There were 16 heat-related deaths in Cook County in 2011.
