Eva Mae Helton Gill, a native of Greene County, MS and resident of Moss Point, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012. She was 91. Mrs. Gill was a member of Escatawpa Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors where she spent many hours each day maintaining her many flowers and plants. She always welcomed her many loving family members and friends to her home, where guests were greeted with a beautiful smile and a fresh pot of coffee. She will be truly missed by her loving family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Scudder and Quinton Gill; 6 brothers and her son-in-law, Clarence "C.C." Davis. Mrs. Gill is survived by her son, Jerry (Velma) Scudder of Escatawpa, MS; daughters, Barbara (Ray) Ford of Clinton, MS and Peggy Davis of Escatawpa; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Winfred Helton of Georgetown, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 11am until 1pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home of Moss Point, MS. Funeral services will follow at 1pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Todd Bowen and Rev. Steve Cirlot officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Scudder, Terry Scudder, Gary Scudder, Ray Ford, Jon Williams and Jerry Goff. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Pascagoula, MS. Holder-Wells Funeral Home of Moss Point, MS. is in charge of arrangements.
