Mrs. Hazel Bowdle, 70, Route 3, died at 2 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Columbus following about a three-week illness.
She was born Dec. 23, 1895, in Ross County to William and Mary Ann Landrum Daily. On March 10, 1923, she married Orrin C. Bowdle, who died on Sept. 15, 1964.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Clara) Porter of Chillicothe and Mrs. Vernon(Elsie) Buchanan of Route 3, five grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Daily of Columbus and Edwin Daily of Chillicothe, and four sisters, Mrs. Edward (May) Koch of Chillicothe, Mrs. Lace (Murl) Sanger of Oak Hill, WV., Mrs. Ralph (Edna) Hobensack of Chillicothe and Mrs. Andrew (Beatrice) Smither of St. Louis, MO. She was predeceased by two brothers.
Mrs. Bowdle was a 4-H adviser for 19 years and was member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church.
Services were under the direction of Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with Rev. Ralph C. Gibson officiating.
