Mrs. F. G. Burchill

A former native of Merrickville, Mrs. Francis C. Burchill, Ottawa, passed away in Easton's Corners on October 19. She was 82 years old.

The former Laura Jane Driscoll was born March 22, 1887, the daughter of the late William James Driscoll and the former Jane Breen. She married the late Francis C. Burchill in Smiths Falls in 1908 and he predeceased her 17 years ago.

She was a member of Rideau Lodge No. 222, L.O.B.A., at Billings Bridge. She resided in Ottawa.

Surviving are, Mrs. D (Maizie) Connerty, Ottawa; James, Jack, Stanley, all of Easton's Corners; Mrs. Mac (Audley) Beach, Manotick; Mrs James (Alma) Jamieson, Barrie; Harold, Grand Prairie, Alberta; Donald of Portland and Doreen and Georgina both of Ottawa. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 23 great
grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at the Lannin Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm October 22 with Rev. Canon Sidney Irwin officiating.

Internment was at Union Cemetery, Merrickville. Pallbearers were six grandsons, William Jamieson, Douglas Connerty, Gordon Burchill, Keith Burchill, Floyd Burchill and Leonard Burchill.
