Neal H. Shreve
Neal Harold Shreve, 74, of Sioux City died Wednesday, (ct. 14, 1998, near Walthill, Neb., of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sheryl Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 697. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home.
Mr Shreve was born April 20, 1924, in Pender, Neb., the son of Neal Columbus and Esther Amelia (Christiansen) Shreve. He attended Sioux City schools.
He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. He served during World War II and Vietnam War. His awards and decorations include the Silver Star Medal, four Bronze Star Medals and two Purple Heart Medals.
He was employed with Neal C. Shreve and Son Farm Supply.
Survivors include two sisters and their husbands, Pauline and Dale Harter of Medesto, Calif., and Betty and Gordon Williams of Gresham, Ore.; two brothers and their wives, Mark and Arlene of Hartley, Iowa, and Sterling and Ruth of Ames, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Sioux City Man Killed in Accident - Walhill, NE
One person was killed near Walhill, Thurston County at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of US Highway 77 and Nebraska Highway 94, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
Neal Shreve, 74, of Sioux City was driving a pickup that collided with a semi truck driven by Michael Goerl, 44, of Grand Island, NE.
