T.W. Handy was born Aug. 4, 1948, in Cloud county, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Mary A. Willard on Feb. 6, 1873. To this union six children were born, two having preceded him in death. He was converted early in life and united with the Methodist church and lived a faithful Christian life. He departed this life July 3, 1931, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 29 days. Besides his widow and children he leaves a number of other relatives and friends to mourn his departure. The funeral services were held at the Linden cemetery, conducted by Rev. Anderson of Sparta with burial under the direction of B.C. Klepper.
