Edgar Benson Lowe, a resident of Buckhannon, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at his home. He was 89 years old.

Edgar was born May 25, 1918, the son of the late Rev. Arthur Wilbert Lowe and Anna Grace Benson Lowe.

On Aug. 25, 1942, he was married to Jane Guthrie Lowe, who survives.

He is also survived by one son, John A. Lowe of Buckhannon; one daughter, Linda L. Ogden and husband, Howard, of Hinkleville; one grandson, Dean Ogden and wife, Kanay, of Prestonburg, Ky.; one granddaughter, Heather A. Ogden of Hinkleville; one great-granddaughter, Shelby Ogden of Prestonburg, Ky.; one sister, Algana Guthrie of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.

Edgar was a plumber and electrician for Shannons Hardware and a member of Nays Chapel United Methodist Church. He had served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
