Archie W. Loughrey Jr., 72, of Wilson Avenue, Kittanning, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1925 in Kittanning to Archie W. and Jenny (Bowser) Loughrey. Mr. Lougrey was retired from PPG in Ford City. He was a member of the Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Pine Creek Sportsmen Club. He is survived by his wife, Annabelle (Cornman) Loughrey, whom he married March 10, 1945; two sons, Rodger K. Loughrey of Atlanta, Ga., and Archie W. Loughrey III of North Huntingdon; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Kathy D.) Rose of McKeesport; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Loughrey of Kittanning and Charles Loughrey of Kittanning; and one sister, Jennie Mitchell of Kittanning. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Grace Crytzer and Ethel Lorigan. LOUGHREY - Friends of Archie Wallace Loughrey Jr., 72, of Wilson Avenue, Kittanning, who died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Clarence McDowell, assisted by the Rev. Raymond Rose, Mr. Loughrey's son-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington RD 1. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
