Anna Alsager died in Des Moines after month's illness
STORY CITY - Mrs. Anna C. (Eric) Alsager, 76, died at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines on Saturday, Feb. 5. She had been in ill health for the past month.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Rev. C.A. Gisselquist will officiate with burial in the Story City Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home.
Born Jan. 9, 1901 at Hampton to Henry and Louisa Helvig. Anna married Eric Alsager in 1924. He died in 1961.
Survivors include two son, Richard of West Des Moines and Robert of Wilson, N. C; one daughter, Margaret Ann Alsager of Story City, six grandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Hans Jensen of Jewell, Mrs. Joseph Lyyski of Reno, Nev., Mrs. Loyd Childs of Madison, Wisc. and Mrs. Lenora Taysse of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Robert Helvig of Madison, Wisc. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
