Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha P. Allen, 83, of East Franklin Street, Russellville, will be held Sunday, Oct. 4, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen died Friday, Oct. 2, at Humana Hospital-Russellville. She was a native of Franklin County, a member of the Church of Christ, a BPW member, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter, Fayrene P. Sparks, Sheffield; four brothers, Garland A. Pounders, Spruce Pine, Gardie F. Pounders, Russellville, Hartford Pounders, Melvin Pounders, both of Phil Campbell; four sisters, Beatrice Hill, Russellville, Ollie F. Kelly, Tuscumbia, Clarrice Burleson, Haleyville, Tillie Mae Reeves, Hodges; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
