Services will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dewitt Seago, pastor, and John Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.
The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. today until service time tomorrow at Moore-Rose Funeral Home here.
Mr. Blount was born in Coryell County and moved to Floydada in 1943. He moved to Plainview in 1956 and lived there 17 years before coming to Lockney in 1974.
He was a retired barber, a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Newman of Lubbock and Miss Opal Blount of Lockney.
