Funeral services for Dorothy Sandusky Burleson, 92, of Decatur will be Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Ninth Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Sellers officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Burleson, who died Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Decatur General, was born on July 29, 1920, in Morgan County, Alabama to Clarence Oscar and Arrie Sandusky. She was a lifetime member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Burleson; son, Billy Burleson; and daughter, Susan Burleson.
She is survived by one son, Jim Burleson and wife Lynne; one daughter, Becky Wallace and husband Jim; one sister, Katherine Ford; 5 grandchildren, Ginger Mitchell (Brian), Bill Wallace, Mandy Quattlebaum (Brad), Jennifer VeLasQuez (Alan), Kathryn Burleson; and 5 great-grandchildren, Bryant, Paul, Brandon, Brileigh, Anna.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons, grandsons-in-law.
