Another old pioneer of this section, Mr. John Larrabee, passed away [Sunday, Dec. 5] at St. Peter. Mr. Larrabee has been failing for more than a year, both physically and mentally. His mind became affected and gave way so completely that two weeks ago he was committed to the asylum at St. Peter, where he died. For many years Mr. Larrabee resided southwest of this place, making Janesville his trading point. He was a man of integrity and had the respect of everyone. His wife and several children survive him. The funeral was conducted Wednesday at the Alton Baptist church and the remains interred in the Janesville cemetery.
