Roger J. Culhane, age 63 of Morristown, died on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.

Born in Northfield on May 6, 1949, Roger was the son of John A. and Gladys A. (Stangler) Culhane. He began his schooling in Morristown, but graduated from Waterville-Elysian High School in 1967. He went on to earn his Master's Degree in Psychology from St. Cloud State University.

Throughout his life, Roger worked in real estate, was an auctioneer, worked at the State Capital as an employee of the State of Minnesota, and most recently owned and operated his own insurance business. He was also a long-time member of the National Guard. Roger was married to Carol A. Shipman on July 7, 2007. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sertoma Club in Northfield, and was later a member of the Eagle's Club in Faribault. He enjoyed music especially singing and playing guitar, following the Twins and the Vikings, boating, fishing, water-skiing, bowling, camping, and horseback riding.

Roger is survived by his wife, his mother, one daughter, one son, one granddaughter, three step-daughters, and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1994; one brother, Curtis Culhane in 1993; and one sister, Jean Walz in 2007.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, with Rev. Michael Ince officiating.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
